East Caln Township was created in 1728 in the center of Chester County along the Lancaster Turnpike, which is now U.S. Rt. 30. The Township is presently 4.4 square miles in area and the 2000 U.S. Census count showed a population of 2,857. The governing body of the Township is an elected three member Board of Supervisors.

The East Caln Township Recreation Board is currently seeking volunteers to serve on its committee

Your township has a number of committees and commissions and special task forces that are staffed by volunteers.
At various times there is a need to find new members for these positions.  In order to facilitate the finding of new members the township maintains a human resources file of people that would be willing to serve the township.
